The ink set records the white image by contacting an ink composition containing at least the colloid of an inorganic oxide with a reaction liquid containing a coagulant for aggregating the colloid of the oxide, when at least mixed on the transparent recording medium in the method for ink jet recording for recording by discharging the ink to the medium.
