There are provided an ink set comprising a black ink containing a pigment, a liquid medium for dispersing the pigment and water and a color ink comprising a dye, a liquid medium for dissolving or dispersing the dye, water and an organosilicon compound, and a method and device using the same, wherein the organosilicon compound is obtained by hydrolyzing a hydrolysable silane (A) containing a nitrogenous organic group, represented by the formula: YR1mSiR23-m, and a hydrolysable silane (B) represented by the formula: R3nSiR44-n (wherein R1, R3 are each a monovalent hydrocarbon group that has 1-8Cs and is unsubstituted or contains no nitrogen atom and is substituted; R2, R4 are each a 1-4C alkoxy group or an acyloxy group; Y is a nitrogenous organic group; m is 0 or 1; and n is 0, 1 or 2).
