Abstract:

To provide an ink set with good dispersibility of pigment contained in the pigment ink even in a case when the pigment ink and dye ink are mixed.

This ink set includes first ink containing water, pigment and a first metal ion as a counter ion of the pigment; and second ink containing water, a dye expressed by general formula (1) and a second metal ion as a counter ion of the dye, where the limiting equivalent conductivity [S cm2/eq] of the first metal ion is larger than that of the second metal ion.
