Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an ink storing body of improved wetting properties for ink to be used for a writing instrument.
CONSTITUTION: An ink storing body for an writing instrument is composed of polyethylene terephthalate fiber bundles and/or polypropylene fiber bundles provided with at least three protruding-shaped sections or more of cross face fiber shape, and the ink storing body is treated with a wetting property modifier for ink prepared by using any one kind, or a mixture of two kinds or more, of alkyl phosphate, alkylbetaine, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether and polyoxyethylene alkylamine.
