Title:
INK SUPPLY PART FOR INK JET PRINTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3222393
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the leak of ink caused by the damage of a cartridge in a mechanism sending out ink from the ink cartridge not provided on a head but on a printer main body.
SOLUTION: When a cartridge 20 is mounted on a printer, a fluid outlet 28 taking out ink from an ink storage container 24 through a pump 26 is connected to the fluid inlet 42 on the side of the printer. An actuator 40 is moved up and down in this state to drive a pump and ink is drawn out of the ink storage container to be sent out to the printer. By this constitution, the ink can be sent into a head from the cartridge and, since pressure for forcibly sending out ink is not applied to the ink storage container made of a flexible material, there is no possiblity such that the container is damaged to apply serious contamination to the printer.
