Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink transfer printer capable of readily setting a transferring position for transferring ink to a recording paper.
SOLUTION: This ink transfer printer comprises an ink roller 10 having a porous film 2 made of a shape-memory resin provided on a surface of a porous body 3 which holds ink. A heating means 7 for selectively heating the film 2 to a temperature higher than a glass-transition temperature of the shape- memory resin, a contacting means 8 for bringing the recording paper into intimate contact with the surface of the film 2, a reheating means 9 for reheating the film 2 to a temperature higher than the glass-transition temperature of the shape-memory resin, a pressing means 11 for pressing the film 2 and a cooling means for cooling the film 2 to a temperature less than the glass- transition temperature are sequentially provided along the circumference of the ink roller 10.
