To provide ink with delayed 'cap-off-time', i.e., ink which does not solidifies at a pen point even when the point is uncapped for a long time and to provide a process for producing the same.

This invention relates to ink with delayed 'cap-off-time', esp. a nonwater-base ink used for writing, drawing, painting, or marking, i.e., a writing or marking liq. The ink contains an org. solvent, a binder, a drying retarder, a colorant, and if necessary other additives. The retarder is a paraffin wax and (or) a polyolefin wax insoluble in an org. solvent.
