To provide an inkjet device which corrects a misalignment about straightness or yawing of a substrate caused by changes in temperatures or the like during a scanning operation and which achieves constant and accurate application of ink on a predetermined section of the substrate.
Two first sensors read scale patterns scored on both sides of a substrate and a position calculator corrects the operation of a θ axis carrier to null phase differences, which prevents a misalignment by yawing. Also, two second sensors read linear patterns scored on both sides of the substrate and the calculator corrects the operation of a Y axis carrier to null variations in mean values during a scanning operation. Furthermore, the device is configured to correct a timing of injecting ink of an inkjet control in response to the signals from the first sensors and accurately apply ink on a predetermined position even when a relative position between a head unit and the substrate is misaligned by temperature changes, which reduces mixtures of colors or a variation of brightness.
