Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hardly cause a failure in a pump, and to prevent an air bubble from remaining in the pump in initial introduction of ink.
SOLUTION: The pump 30 is connected between an inkjet head 2 and an ink cartridge 20. A suction hole 31a and a discharge hole 31b are provided in a housing 31 in the pump 30. A partition member 50 is arranged in a rotor 40 which is arranged in a cavity 32 in the housing 31. The cavity 32 of the housing 31 has a first channel 32a which is formed along a part of a side surface of the rotor 40, and a second channel 32b via the opposite side of the first channel 32a with respect to the rotor 40, the length of which is longer than the first channel 32a. When the ink is initially introduced into the cavity 32 of the pump 30, the partition member 50 is arranged in a position wherein channel resistance of the first channel 32a becomes smaller than that of the second channel 32b.
