To provide an inkjet printer capable of obtaining a high-quality print image by suppressing a cross-talk phenomenon generated between a plurality of nozzles.
The inkjet printer comprises a plurality of nozzles 118 for ejecting ink droplets; a plurality of piezoelectric elements 116 which are provided in respective nozzles to generate energy for ejecting ink droplets from the corresponding nozzles; and a head controller 14 which supplies a drive signal to the piezoelectric elements 116 to put them into operation for ejecting ink and which also supplies an auxiliary drive signal to ink non-ejecting piezoelectric elements 116, to cancel out the effect that is generated on accompanying the ink ejection operation of the ink ejecting piezoelectric elements 116. The head controller 14 prepares a combination of the drive signal and auxiliary drive signal beforehand in a time series for supplying to the respective piezoelectric elements 116 and supplies the combination of both signals to the respective piezoelectric elements 116 at each of their ejection timings.
