To provide an inkjet printer having constitution capable of washing a wiper cleaner while suppressing upsizing of the inkjet printer.
The printer 1 includes a wiper 9 wiping the nozzle surface 7 of an inkjet head 5, and a wiper 22 wiping the wiper 9. The printer 1 has a washing liquid supply mechanism 25 supplying washing liquid to the wiper 22, and a suction mechanism 2 sucking ink in a nozzle formed on the nozzle surface 7 from the nozzle. After performing nozzle surface wiping operation to wipe the nozzle surface 7 by the wiper 9, wiper wiping operation to wipe the wiper 9 by the wiper 22 is performed. After performing the wiper wiping operation, the circumference of the wiper 22 is set to a negative pressure state by a suction mechanism 2, whereby washing liquid sucking operation to suck the washing liquid from the washing liquid supply mechanism 25 to the wiper 22 is performed.
