Abstract:
To provide an ink-jet printer capable of high quality head cleaning.SOLUTION: A cleaning member 220A includes a first area A1 extending from an end part 222a on an X1 direction side to an X2 direction; and a second area A2 extending from an end part 222b on an X2 direction side to an X1 direction. Length combining length L1 of the first area A1 and length L2 of the second area A2 is equal to or greater than length Ln of a nozzle surface 41. The cleaning member 220A is in contact with the nozzle face 41 so that an end part A1b on the X2 direction side of the first area A1 overlaps an end part 41b on the X2 direction side of the nozzle face 41 and is moved in the X2 direction. Also, the cleaning member 220A is in contact with the nozzle surface 41 so that an end part A2a on the X1 direction side of the second area A2 overlaps an end part 41a on the X1 direction side of the nozzle face 41, and is moved in the X1 direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
