To provide an inkjet printing apparatus for preventing a hand from touching a print head during paper jam removing operation.

An inkjet printing apparatus includes: a print head 34 which is provided projectively toward printing paper, and has an ink discharge surface at the tip end, the ink discharge surface discharges ink to the printing paper; a paper feeding part 15 which feeds the printing paper when printing, and is moved to make a predetermined interval between the printer head when paper jam occurs on the printing paper; and a head protection part 50 which is provided to move forward and backward along an outer shape of the printer head with the tip end of the printer head as a forward direction, is arranged at the first position which is behind the ink discharge surface and exposes the ink discharge surface when printing, and is moved in the forward direction from the first position to be arranged at the second position for projecting the ink discharge surface beyond the discharge surface when paper jam occurs on the printing paper.
