To provide an inkjet recorder capable of maintaining excellent ink ejection performance by reducing occurrence of local insufficiency in coating, and a recovery method for a liquid droplet ejection means.
The inkjet recorder includes: at least one or more liquid droplet ejection means provided with at least one or more liquid droplet ejection parts; a wiping means provided with at least two or more wiping members for wiping an ejection part forming surface of the liquid droplet ejection means in an arrangement direction of the liquid droplet ejection parts; and a moving means moving the wiping means in a direction perpendicular to the arrangement direction of the liquid droplet ejection parts. At least one or more wiping members out of at least two or more wiping members have a non-abutting area on the ejection part forming surface at a center part in the arrangement direction of the liquid droplet ejection parts on the surface abutting on the ejection part forming surface.
