To provide an inkjet recorder which can maintain a stable ejection recovery performance by making a stronger negative pressure interact on an outlet port even when using a suction pump of the same capacity and a channel of the same magnitude.
The inkjet recorder is equipped with a recording head 7 for making a record by ejecting an ink from outlet ports 70, 71, a cap 61 for covering the outlet ports of the recording head, a suction means 60 for making the negative pressure interact on the outlet ports, and channels 615, 616 for connecting the cap with the suction means by an internal space. After introducing the ink into the internal spaces of the cap and channel, the negative pressure is made to interact on the outlet ports by the suction means.
