Abstract:
To reduce density irregularities caused by the fact that an eccentricity of a carrying roller differs according to a position in its longitudinal direction in an inkjet recording apparatus.
Pattern recording for obtaining carrying amount correction is carried out at three points (positions 1-3) in a scan direction. An optimum phase of a correction value to an actual carrying amount is obtained for the pattern of each position. A shift amount of each position is estimated on the basis of the correction value of the optimum phase obtained at three points. The correction value is obtained as a value which negates the shift amount obtained for the three points.
