This inkjet recording apparatus comprises: an inkjet recording head which comprises a first ejection port array H1108a, a second ejection port array H1108b, and a common supply port H1102 for supplying a droplet to first and second ejection ports; and a control part for controlling the ejection of each of the first and second ejection ports. The first ejection port array 1108a is equipped with a filter H1111a which is formed to prevent the inflow of foreign matter with maxiMum dimensions, capable of flowing into at least the second ejection port H1107b. The control part controls the ejection of the first and second ejection ports so that a pre-ejection reference value, which is obtained by multiplying the total amount of the ejection of the droplet ejected from each ejection port array during pre-ejection by the driving frequency of each ejection port, and a pre-ejection reference value for the first ejection port array can be set larger than a pre-ejection reference value for the second ejection port array.
