To provide an inkjet recording device which positively absorbs only a surplus of ink deposited on a recording medium, eliminates ink offset, and curling and cockling of the recording medium and improves ink drying performance, thereby achieving good printing of image on the recording medium.
In the inkjet recording device, recording heads 28T to 28Y function to record an image by landing printing liquid (inks of respective colors, and a process liquid for inducing aggregation in a pigment of each ink) on a sheet. Herein a liquid absorbing device 34 for absorbing a surplus of the ink successively impacting the sheet by the recording heads 28T to 28Y, is arranged on a downstream side of the recording head 28T to 28Y, and a surface of the liquid absorbing device 34, that makes a contact with the surplus liquid of the print liquid is made hydrophilic.
