An inkjet printer 1 includes an inkjet head 2, a belt-transporting device 50, a controller 100 for controlling the inkjet head 2 and the belt-transporting device 50, and sensors 65 and 71. The sensor 65 is arranged at the position facing a jetting surface 2a and sandwiching a transport surface 54 placed between them. The sensor 71 is arranged in the upstream of the inkjet head 2. When printing is conducted based on print data, if the sensor 65 does not detect the front end of a form P during a predetermined period after the sensor 71 detects the front end of the form P, the controller 100 controls the inkjet head 2 to stop the inkjet to the form P.
