To provide an inkjet recording device that can increase discharge quantities of ink droplets that are discharged during flushing while maintaining image quality so that the ink droplets can easily impact on an ink collecting part.SOLUTION: An inkjet recording device comprises a recording head, a head driving part, a conveying belt, and a control part. The recording head has a plurality of pressurizing chambers, and a plurality of piezoelectric elements that pressurizes ink in the pressurizing chambers to discharge ink through nozzles. The head driving part comprises a driving pulse generating part that generates driving waveforms of driving voltages which are applied to the piezoelectric elements. The control part controls the head driving part and driving of the conveying belt, so that at least either of speeds and volumes of the ink droplets discharged from the nozzles are made larger than those when recording an image, at the time of executing flushing by which the nozzles of the recording head are caused to discharge ink at timing different from timing contributing to image recording and then the ink is passed through any of a plurality of opening parts formed in the conveying belt.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
