Abstract:

To provide an inkjet recording glossy paper, which is highly gloss though having favorable ink absorbency and further is also excellent in the surface strength of the surface of a gloss developing layer and furthermore has image quality being equal to a medium made of the base material of a photographic paper or of a film and glossy feeling and, at the same time, can recycle.

In a cast-coated paper, in which at least one ink accepting layer is provided on at least one side of a base material under the condition that a coating liquid including a pigment and a binder is coated on the ink accepting layer so as to obtain the gloss developing layer under wet state in order to pressure-bond against a heated mirror-finishing metal surface for obtaining the cast-coated paper, the coating liquid includes 100 pts. wt. of pigment consisting of 20-100 pts. wt. of alumina doped silica and 0-80 pts. wt. of colloidal silica and the paper has at least 20% of 20° glossiness according to JIS Z 8741.
