To provide an inkjet recording head in which a temperature difference between the center and the end of an element substrate with respect to the arranged direction of a discharge port is decreased to suppress the deterioration of image quality caused by the temperature difference.
The inkjet recording head 100 has a refrigerant passage 4 (cooling passage) arranged at the back side of a discharge port surface to make a cooling fluid pass therethrough. The refrigerant passage 4 includes a first heat transferring part 27 that is overlapped with the center of the element substrates with respect to the arranged direction of a plurality of energy generation devices with respect to the direction perpendicular to the discharge port surface, and is arranged at the element substrate side; and a second heat transferring part 28 that is overlapped with a region between a plurality of element substrates that are adjacent with respect to the arranged direction with respect to the perpendicular direction, and is arranged at the element substrate side. The arrangement density of a recess depressed in the surface or a projection projected from the surface on the side of the element substrate of the wall for forming the refrigerant passage 4 as a heat transfer accelerator 5 provided in the first heat transferring part 27 is higher than the arrangement density of a recess or a projection formed in the second heat transferring part 28.
