To provide inkjet recording paper which has high ink absorbability, gloss, and print density, which is not cracked as a result of forming a flexible ink absorbing layer even if it is rounded and folded, further, which can enhance bleeding resistance while maintaining the high ink absorbability even if a cationic fixing agent is added.

The ink absorbing layer includes wet type fine silica particles, of which the average particle size of primary particles is ≤ 10 nm and that of secondary particles is 10-300 nm, and a binder in the inkjet recording paper. The binder includes an emulsion resin, which is emulsion-polymerized by a polymer dispersing agent having a hydroxy group, and a water-soluble resin.
