To provide an inkjet recording sheet which can form an image with ever unexperienced designability, i.e. designability having a feeling of shading as if it were veiled with a fine silk like gauze or leno merely by forming an image by an inkjet recording process using an aqueous ink without requiring sophisticated workability.

This inkjet recording paper has a surface layer with 5 to 50 g/m2 basis weight entangled with a hydrophobic fiber having 0.1 to 4.0 decitex degree of fineness, laminated on the ink acceptance surface of a sheet which allows inkjet recording using the aqueous ink.
