To provide a transparent/glossy inkjet recording sheet, especially with excellent ink absorption, dryness and color development properties of an aqueous pigment ink, in order to solve the problems involved in a conventional technology that an image receiving layer tends to crack halfway through drying and cause a consequent color development deterioration when polyvinyl alcohol, starch or the like is used as a recommended alternative, due to the poor absorption and dryness of an aqueous pigment ink and therefore, as a remedy for ink absorption improvement under this unsatisfactory outcome, the use of various additives such as cationizing agent or inorganic fine particle is advised but regretably still without acquiring sufficient ink absorption with these additives and with the degradation of transparency and glossiness.

This invented inkjet recording sheet is characterized in that a cationic acrylic silicone emulsion resin and a cationic urethane resin are included.
