Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the size and weight of an inlet valve device, by disposing an inlet valve in an inlet valve chamber filled with high-pressure water. CONSTITUTION:An inlet valve 3 is disposed in an inlet valve chamber 4 filled with high-pressure water. With such an arrangement, the load applied to the inlet valve 3 is decreased with the water pressure applied to the valve 3 from the outside thereof, and the load is decreased most when the pressure applied to the valve 3 from the outside and that applied from the inside become equal, so that the strength of the inlet valve 3 can be lowered. Therefore, it is enabled to reduce the thickness of plates of the inlet valve used for high water head and pump head and to reduce the size and weight of the same.
