Abstract:

To perform inline treatment materializing MICR (magnetic ink character recognition) printing to a check with fuser oil stuck thereon.

An electrostatic latent image is formed using a MICR printing apparatus and a non-MICR printing apparatus. After development, an MICR toner image and a non-MICR toner image transferred to the surface of a chuck are fused. During the fusing, fuser oil is fed to the chuck. Thereafter, using an aqueous coating comprising a polymer and a surfactant, the check having the fused MICR toner image and non-MICR toner image is coated.
