Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of abrasion and seizure of the outer periphery of a cam ring and the inner periphery of a housing of an inner cam type fuel injection pump which is adapted to distribute and supply high pressure fuel to a designated cylinder by rotating a distributing rotor.
CONSTITUTION: An inner cam type fuel injection pump includes a distributing rotor 90 which pressurizes fuel by moving inner plungers 96a, 96b, and communicates a discharge port 94 formed on the peripheral surface of a rotor 90 with a discharge path 102 formed on a cylinder 100 in a suitable timing to distribute and supply pressurized high pressure fuel to each cylinder of a Diesel engine. The distributing rotor 90 is provided with a balance port 105 which has an opening part 105a opened to the opposite surface to an opening part forming position (fuel discharge port 93) of the discharge port 94 formed on the rotor peripheral surface at one end, and the other end of which is communicated with the discharge port 94.
