Abstract:
PURPOSE:To carry out focusing simply and appropriately by recognizing defocus quantity and a focused state in order to focus manually while a photographer can peep a finder. CONSTITUTION:Focal depth/width information obtained by calculating in accordance with a diaphragm set value obtained from light quantity metered in a photographing optical system 10 and from an exposure function, etc., is width- displayed on a width display part 4 in a focusing display part 6. In addition, focusing error information corresponding to the optimum focusing position in the central part of the width display part 4 is obtained and displayed on a dot display part 5. The range-finding ring of a lens mirror barrel is manually turned and operated so that the position (instruction) a dot display 5a on the dot display part 5 comes within a focal depth width 4a. By moving the display 5a to right and left in the dot display part 5, the display 5a is positioned within the focal depth width 4a, thereby carrying out focusing simply and appropriately. Thus, focusing can be carried out extremely simply and surely, whereby operability is improved.
