PURPOSE: To easily and quickly perform on-line roll change by providing inner housings inside frames and providing guides with which roll chocks which are separated from draft adjusting devices are supported within those housing.
CONSTITUTION: In a rolling mill with plural rolls, the inner housings 11 are provided in the frames 6 so as to be attachable and detachable and to enable to be integrated with the frames 6 by sliding in the direction of pass line. And, within those inner housings 11, the guides 9 with which roll chocks 7 which are connected to the draft adjusting devices 10 in freely attachably and detachably are supported in freely movably forwards and backwards toward the pass line L are provided. In the case of roll change, the connection of the roll chocks 7 with the draft adjusting devices 10 is disconnected and roll units can be easily taken out by drawing the inner housings 11 out of the frames 6. Next, by setting spare inner housings 11' within which roll units are housed inside the frames 6 in inverse process, on-line roll change is easily and quickly done.
