Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce roll changing time, to secure safety of operator and to improve labor time by providing an upper roll support means by which a support member of upper roll shaft box is taken in/out into an inner stand.
CONSTITUTION: In changing a roll, the upper roll shaft box 23 located at the height position of forming of electric resistance welded tube is pulled up above a support member 33 by a screw down device 11a of forming stand 11. A rod of an upper roll support releasing cylinder is retracted, the support member is rotated by the energizing force of spring of balanced returning projecting, a part of supporting part is protruded in an inner stand 18. Subsequently, by slightly lowering the upper chock by the screw down device 11a, the upper chock is placed on support part. Successively a roll assembly structure 13 is taken out from the forming stand 11 through a travel carrier 12, a new roll assembly structure 13 on a changing carrier 17 is transferred to the travel carrier 12 and is carried in the forming stand 11.
