PURPOSE: To provide an inner tube which is excellent in gas barrier property even if it is made of natural rubber by forming a specified film on the surface of the molded inner tube.

CONSTITUTION: An inner tube is molded out of general purpose rubber with unsaturated bond in molecular structure, or thermoplastic elastomer with unsaturated bond. The general purpose rubber is used for the main base rubber of the inner tube. The rubber in which unsaturated bond is provided in molecular structure is selected. Concretely, it includes natural rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, butadiene rubber, isoprene rubber, etc. Next the surface of the inner tube is halogenated. Then a film of 1 to 100μm is formed on the surface of the inner tube with modified nylon, copolymer nylon, blended matter of polyurethane and polyvinylidene fluoride, and blended matter of polyvinylidene chloride and polyurethane.
