To provide an inorganic fibrous molded body as the molded body of a fiber having biosolubility in which deterioration is reduced upon storage, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide a method for producing an inorganic fibrous molded body in which deterioration in a fiber having biosolubility is reduced upon production.
The inorganic fibrous molded body includes a covering layer forming inorganic fiber (a) and a binder, and in the covering layer-forming inorganic fiber (a), a dissolution rate in a physiological saline solution at 40°C is ≥1%. The method for producing an inorganic fibrous molded body includes: a slurry production stage where a solvent is mixed with a covering layer-forming agent, next, an inorganic fiber (b) in which a dissolution rate in a physiological saline solution at 40°C is ≥1% and a binder are mixed so as to obtain slurry comprising the covering layer-forming inorganic fiber (a); and a dehydration molding stage where the water in the slurry is suction-filtered so as to obtain an inorganic fibrous molded body.
