Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic neutral flocculant derived from starch pulp capable of quickly purifying and reusing suspended waste water in a simple and inexpensive way and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A starch pulp fermented with citric acid is immersed in water 4 (Step S8), a citric acid content is dissolved in water and extracted (Step S9). The citric acid content obtained by extraction is added again in slaked lime 5 and is stirred and mixed to neutralize (Step S10), followed by vacuum filtration (Step S11) to separate calcium citrate 8 which is an intermediate. Subsequently, sulfuric acid 9 is stirred and mixed with the calcium citrate 8 to decompose (Step S12), followed by centrifugation to separate into gypsum 10 and a citric acid solution L to obtain gypsum 10 which is a main component of an inorganic flocculant P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
