PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device having a push-type key with a good operation feeling of a key and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An input device having a push-type key comprises a main body portion, a key portion having an operation surface pressed by an operator, a base member having first and second elastic portions connecting the main body portion and the key portion so that the key portion is movable with respect to the main body portion, an operating portion on which the key portion acts when the key portion moves, and an electrical component board disposed on the back side of the base member. When viewing the key portion from a direction perpendicular to the operating surface, the first and second elastic parts have a line symmetrical shape with respect to a virtual line passing through the center part of the key portion. When viewing the key portion from a direction perpendicular to the operating surface, the action portion is provided at a position closer to the first elastic portion than to the second elastic portion. The base member is provided with a third elastic portion connecting the key portion and the main body portion or connecting the key portion and the second elastic portion, to a side closer to the second elastic portion rather than to the virtual line .SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
