Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain quickly a desired Kanji, by selecting a sentence with Kanji mixed, which has divisions different those of a current outputting sentence with Kanji mixed, as another interpretation sentence from a conversion text table by a clause selecting key.

CONSTITUTION: A Kana sentence inputted from a keyboard 1 is inputted to a detecting circuit 3 through an input buffer 2. The circuit 3 separates a Kana part of the input signal and transfers it to a Kana-Kanji converting part 6. In the converting part 6, a word and Kanji corresponding to the Kana part are taken out from the dictionary of an external storage device 4 together with its homonyms by a retrieving circuit 5 and are preserved in a homonym table 10. A sentence with alphanumerics, symbols, and Kanji mixed is generated and is stored in a conversion text table 9 and is displayed on a display 8. If a change key is depressed when divisions of words and idioms are different from those of the outputting sentence with Kanji mixed, a command is given to a different interpretation selecting part 13, and the selecting part 13 selects a clause from the table 9 in accordance with the designation of a clause selecting key, and the next candidate homonym of the word of the selected sentence with Kanji mixed is selected from the table 10 by a homonym selecting key and is displayed on the display 8.
