Abstract:
To provide an input device in which self-diagnosis can be conducted without installing a diagnostic sensor.SOLUTION: An input device 1A comprises: a base 10; an operation unit which is supported to be displaceable in a vertical direction relative to the base 10, and has an exterior part 41, an operation panel 42, a touch sensor 43, a spacer 44, a conductive plate 45, and a holding member 46; a displacement detection unit 30 for detecting displacement in the vertical direction of the operation unit caused by pressure of an operator; a vibration unit 50 which is mounted to the operation unit to cause the operation unit to generate vibration; and a control unit 60 for driving and vibrating the vibration unit 50 when the displacement detection unit 30 detects displacement in the vertical direction of the operation unit. The control unit 60 drives the vibration unit 50, and subsequently determines the vibration unit to be normal if an output from the displacement detection unit 30 changes, and determines the vibration unit to be abnormal if the output from the displacement detection unit 30 is unchanged.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
