To provide an input device capable of making variable an inclined motion angle of an operation member without exchanging a rotation angle detector, and of reducing device height.

The input device comprises rocking members 200a, 200b supported rockably in X and Y directions in a case 100, and having long holes 211a, 211b extending in the X and Y directions; an operation member 300 penetrating the long hole and capable of inclined motion operation from an erect state; and rotation angle detection means 400a, 400b rotating, in accordance with the rocking of the rocking member to detect its rotation angle. The rocking member includes rocking transmitters 240a, 240b provided upward on its rocking shaft and rocking with the rocking shaft taken as an axis. The rotation angle detection means includes detection means bodies 410a, 410b having rotation shaft holes 411a, 411b disposed above the rocking shaft and motion converters 420a, 420b mounted on the rotation shaft holes. The rocking transmitter and the motion converter are coupled with each other rotatably above the rocking shaft and the rotation shaft.
