Abstract:
There is provided an electrostatic capacitance type input device (1) that can realize an illumination function by a simple and inexpensive structure. Light, which is emitted from light-emitting units (15a, 15b) toward a light guiding section (23), is incident on a light guiding section (23) from a light incident surface (23a), is diffused in the light guiding section (23), and is emitted toward an operation surface (31a) from a light emitting surface (23b). When an operating body (60), such as a finger, comes into contact with or is close to an operation section (31), the capacitance of an electrode section (25) is changed by electrostatic coupling between the operating body (60) and an electrode section (25).
