Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch and display, easily and quickly, the scale reduction ratio of a map displayed on a navigation screen.
SOLUTION: A navigation device 1 determines whether the locus of an inputted touch instruction is approximately circular or not based on X, Y coordinates of the touch instruction detected by a touch panel 15b. When the locus of the touch instruction is approximately circular, the device 1 determines which of magnification and reduction is instructed based on the input direction wherein the approximately circular locus is inputted. The device 1 calculates the center of the inputted approximately circular locus, displays display information displayed on the center on the center of a display part 15a, extracts the nearest point from the external periphery of the touch panel 15b, determines the scale reduction ratio based on the separation distance from the point to the external periphery, magnifies or reduces map information, and displays it on the display part 15a.
