PURPOSE: To attain individually the exchange and storage of voice message of plural users, by encoding a telephone number and using it as a selecting signal required for the exchange so that the data transmission is performed after a secret number possible for setting by a user itself is confirmed.

CONSTITUTION: The voice message storage exchange system is provided with a private branch of exchange, a voice storage device 2 and plural push button dial PD telephone sets 3. The device 2 is provided with an exchange interface 4, a voice interface 5, a message storage section 6, a voice response section 7, an ID storage section 8, a control section 9 and a mail box 10. The message inputted/ outputted by the users A∼F accommodated in the exchange 1 is stored in the box 10 at each user and a mail box number, telephone number of the user, additional number, and a secret number possible for setting by users are stored in the storage section 8 corresponding to the box 10. Further, the telephone number is encoded and used as the selecting signal required for the exchange, and the plural users store individually the voice message.
