To provide a method of quickly providing information on similar fault countermeasure examples to an inquiry in an occurrence of a fault so that even a client with little experience in coping with faults can carry out a fault countermeasure by himself in most cases from the fault countermeasure examples.
Fault countermeasure information for classifying and coping with faults (such as fault classifying conditions, the fault countermeasure examples per classifying condition, persons in charge of faults per program, and sample operation data per program) is stored in a server, and fault countermeasure information such as corresponding fault countermeasure examples is extracted to the fault inquired by the client and it is displayed to the client. The client can cope with the fault by himself in most cases by looking at the fault countermeasure information. If the fault can not be coped with by the client himself, fault countermeasure information is sampled, it is transmitted to a person in charge of fault countermeasures per program, and a countermeasure is requested.
