To provide an inscribed gear pump capable of lessening oil leakage from gaps between the end faces of an inner gear and the two end walls of a pump chamber by forming the gaps smaller as much as practicable.
The internal gear pump is structured so that sucking oil chambers 11 and 12 are formed in the end walls 2b and 2c corresponding to the prescribed meshing part of inner teeth of an outer gear 3 with the outer teeth of the inner gear 4, while discharging oil chambers 13 and 14 are formed in the end walls 2b and 2c corresponding to the other meshing part of the inner teeth with the outer teeth, and that a suction port 15 in communication with the sucking oil chambers 11 and 12 and a discharge port 16 in communication with the discharging oil chambers 13 and 14 are formed in the housing 1, wherein a thin-walled portion 18 is formed at the inner periphery of the inner gear 4 by removing the prescribed places on the end faces of the inner gear 4 at radially inward from the oil chambers 11, 12, 13, 14, and radially outward from the thin-walled portion 18, an annular part 19 is formed to be in slide contact with the end walls 2b and 2c.
