Title:
INSECT DISLIKING LIGHT RADIATION LUMINAIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05166408
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent insects from gathering by radiation of insect disliking light by providing an insect disliking light emitting part partly in a luminaire main unit so that the insect disliking light of wavelength disliked by the insects is radiated in at least a horizontal direction of a luminaire.

CONSTITUTION: Radiation light of annular fluorescent lamps 5, 6 toward upward partly passes through an yellow color system light transmitting plate 8 from an upper surface cut hole 7 of a shade 3 and thereafter to reach an insect disliking light emitting part 100 as yellow light. The yellow light of reaching the inside of the part 100 is respectively reflected by reverse cone-shaped louvers 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D and radiated in a horizontal direction of a luminaire. Here by adjusting the yellow color system light transmitting plate 8 so as to transmit light of 550 to 600nm wavelength, insect disliking light disliked by insects is radiated in the horizontal direction in the periphery of the luminaire and recognized by the insects to come flying from a distance. Thus by avoiding the insects from approaching, though a discharge lamp is lighted, a discomfort condition crowded with the gathering insects can be avoided.
