In the insect model 10, a base part 18 containing at least one of the head part 12, the thorax part 14 and the abdomen part 16 of an insect is formed out of a base material 24 that has the surface of a core material 20 covered with pieces of fabrics 22 arranged corresponding to the colors and patterns of the insect. At least one of the antenna part, compound eyes, the wing parts and leg parts making up other parts of the insect is formed on the base part 18 and the leg parts 40 are arranged and fixed on the thorax part 14 and/or the abdomen part 16.
