Abstract:
To provide recombinant insect poison allergens which can be differentiated by nature-identical or nature-reverse folds (conformations), depending on the efficiency of the production method.
There is provided a recombinant insect allergen reduced in IgE reactivity or allergenicity, comprising soluble wasp poison allergen antigen 5, wherein the antigen is expressed in bacterial cells in an insoluble form as inclusion bodies, the inclusion bodies are prepared by recombination in the bacteria by being denatured without addition of a reductant and by dialyzing the denatured bodies by using a cysteine-containing solution, and the allergen is the wasp poison allergen antigen 5 that has IgE reactivity comparable with the natural allergen.
