PURPOSE: To obtain insecticidal cloth capable of controlling durability of medicinal effects by sealing microcapsules containing a specific insecticide to the surface of fiber cloth with a resin having affinity to both fibers constituting the cloth and the wall material of the microcapsules.

CONSTITUTION: Microcapsules containing a diethyltoluamide-based compound shown by the formula, an insecticide, are bonded and sealed to the surface of fiber cloth such as polyester-based synthetic fiber, which is swollen or made rough, with 1-20g/m2 pickup based on the cloth of a resin such as copolymer of sodium sulfoisophthalate and ethylene glycol having affinity to both fibers constituting the cloth and the wall material of the microcapsules. The insecticide in the cloth will slightly fall off from the surface of the fiber cloth, the fiber cloth has excellent washing resistance, wear resistance and weather resistance and is used for preventing damage of insect pests to human, animals and plants for a long period of time.
