PURPOSE: To provide an insecticidal composition containing (2-isopropyl-4-methylpyrimidyl-6)-diethyl thiophosphate and 2-chloro-1-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)vinyl dimethyl phosphate as effective components.
CONSTITUTION: An insecticidal composition containing (A) 1pt.wt. of (2-isopropyl-4-methyl-pyrimidyl-6)-diethyl thiophosphate and (B) 0.2W5.0pts.wt. of 2- chloro- 1-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)vinyl dimethyl phosphate. The composition thus obtained has synergistically improved long- and rapid-activity compared with that of each of the compound (A) and (B). The improved long-acting effect decreases the application times and reduces the necessary application amounts to 1/2 of the amounts for the separate application of each component. The safety to man and cattle in the application is improved and the environmental pollution is reduced also by the combination.
