NEW MATERIAL: A compd. represented by formula X [wherein X and X' are each O, S or NR (wherein R is H or an alkyl), R' is a 4-10C alkyl having tertiary C-atom or 1-4C straight chain alkyl substituted by one or more 3-6C cycloalkyl, one of A and B is (substituted) naphthyl or (substituted) phenyl and other one of them is a (substituted) alkyl, (substituted) cycloalkyl or (substituted) alkenyl] and its salt.

EXAMPLE: N'-t-butyl-N-(3,5-dichlorobenzoyl)-N'-(3-bromopropionyl)hydrazine.

USE: An insecticide.

PROCESS: A compd. represented by formula II is reacted with mono-substituted hydrazine represented by formula III in an inert solvent and the obtained intermediate product represented by formula IV is reacted with a compd. represented by formula V in the presence of a base to obtain the compd. represented by the formula I.
