To provide an insert molded connector with high dimensional preciseness by exposing the contact surface of each terminal of the connector to the plane part of a housing, and forming a fixing groove at the bottom surface of the housing.
An insert molded connector comprises a plurality of terminals 20 contacting electrically with a mating connector member and a housing 10 formed from a synthetic resin through an insert molding process. The contact surface 21 of each terminal 20 for coming into electric contact with the mating connector is exposed at the plane part of the housing 10. From the side face of the housing 10 a soldering part 22 for attaching the terminals 20 to a printed circuit board is extended in the horizontal direction of the bottom surface of the housing 10. A fixing groove 11 stretching long along the shape of the contacting surface 21 is provided at the bottom surface of the housing 10. The groove 11 hinders the terminals 20 from moving with the injection pressure of the resin during injection molding.
